For me, it helps connect design with the physical world. There’s texture, grounding, a more focused yet at times less controlled end result.
Print isn’t dead.
And luckily for me I’ve been able to work with one of the oldest forms of printing; it encourages a simpler, perhaps more considered, way to design but also reminds you that not everything needs to be perfect.
From choosing paper stocks and inks, print finishes and binding, print has always been an incredible part of the design process.
Both my design work and art direction have incorporated design in one way or another but here are some of my favourite design projects, printing styles and some behind the scene process shots from my years in the industry.
