Magpie lenses and structured process.
Creating and curating seasonal collections combines my love of design, championing artistic talent, strategic thinking and formulated critical paths. Working with the Creative Team or the “magpies” in the company, I take concepts and weave a coherent vision and thread to create an impacting and vibrant collection, picking key themes and groupings that can be spun across eDMs and social media as well as trade show refreshes.
The full journey and sign off deadlines that I manage includes concepting in the early stages, draft sales sheets and mock-ups, artist briefing, scheduling product and lifestyle photography, website updates, eDM design and editorial and overviewing social campaigns.
Artist, designer and photographer relationships are at the heart of all the projects. Alongside overviewing the royalty advancement commission scheme, I ensure the relationships are continuously growing and that the collaborations are celebrated across social and the website; the new artist page on the Archivist website was my most recent addition to the site to show-off not only the company’s artist portfolio but also to raise the platform for all the individuals working with us.
Here are just a few of my favourite commissioned designs and collections.
