A marriage of flamboyance and celebration.

Over the years the Archivist logo has tentatively moved from one serif to another, the most recent version using Joanna, a nice little nod to a traditional metal type. However, with a fresh approach to the brand, aspiring to much more of a lifestyle name rather than a gift company, re-imagining the logo had made it to the top of my list in 2023.

Having homed in on the internal phrase of ‘playful and generous’ I had in turn thrown some ideas into the mix but after attending a Letterpress Exchange talk about the joy of woodtype I knew I’d found the perfect person to work with Archivist on the brand mark journey.

I was luckily enough to work with Julia Humfree of Wood Words to finally bring a logo to the company that brings personality, flamboyance but speaks so clearly of the wonders of letterpress. This project is still live and on-going but here’s the progress so far.
